Braintree Elementary School
The Braintree Elementary School is located off Route 12A, on Bent Hill
Road, in West Braintree, Vermont. The school is approximately six miles
from the village of Randolph. It houses 120 students in grades K-6, 17
teachers, 13 support staff and one principal. In the late 1980's Braintree
residents voted to replace the two very old buildings with a new school,
which was completed and occupied in January, 1992. The Braintree School
Philosophy of Education is: "The purpose of elementary education in Braintree
School is to enable every child to learn the skills that may be necessary
to develop his potential to lead a healthy happy and knowledgeable life.
To accomplish this, our school must provide each child with the basic
tools for intellectual development, and it should do so in a stimulating,
disciplined, uninterrupted educational environment that reinforces a child's
sense of personal worth. Finally, it is recognized that, since parents
play a vital role in the education of their children, a spirit of joint
cooperation and commitment is essential to accomplish these aims."
