Randolph Union High School
RUHS incorporated the towns of Randolph, Braintree, and Brookfield into
one union high school in 1954. A junior high wing was added in 1967. The
Randolph Area Vocational Center is also attached to RUHS.
Currently, the school serves a population of 686 students in
grades 7-12. There are 55 teachers, a principal, an associate principal,
three guidance counselors, and 41 support staff.
The school is located
on Forest Street in the village of Randolph. RUHS received continung accreditation
by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the
spring of 1997. Their mission, which is included in the RUHS Statement
of Purpose, reads: "The Randolph Union High School mission is to model
lifelong learning in partnership with our community. To achieve this mission,
we will establish a supportive, safe, respectful, and substance free environment.
We will challenge each other with innovative, diverse learning opportunities
and a relevant, integrated curriculum, assessment and reporting system.
We will develop sufficient skills to maximize our abilities to participate
successfully in the economic, educational and/or community service endeavor
of our lives."
